This is a book on Web promotion, not on A-B-C of Website building. Below, I present you a short excerpt from THE SAVVY WAY TO SUCCESSFUL WEBSITE PROMOTION. It can give you better idea what to expect inside. However - real secrets, most valuable tips and working methods you can find in the book itself. By adopting them, you would gain serious advantage over average webmasters, and push your site well ahead of your competitors.

Thank you for your interest!

Excerpt from Overwiew:

Designing your page, and promoting it, are two separate, entirely different things. Unfortunately, not everybody realizes that, and that's a pretty common problem, even among good designers. Because of the amazingly rapid expansion of the Internet, many good designers have added Web designing as a modern extension to their services. But these designers know very little about promotional tricks and methods, with the result that the pages they create don't have the ingredients to qualify them for effective search engine visibility - and, consequently, you won't achieve your desired success if you rely solely on their services. And, of course, being themselves not aware of the extreme importance of proper Web promotion, they won't tell you that there is anything more to be done after they've finished designing your site!

I know many small business owners who have spent considerable sums of money on Website creation, and yet are often disappointed, and complain about on-line presence being useless and not bringing in any profit. They disbelieve me when I tell them of my own positive experience. Most probably, they will never venture to try any further attempts at Web-based sales. Their nicely designed pages are still there on-line, hanging on neglected, unknown to the world, not visible to anyone but the closest friends that are in the know… When I question such Website owners, I hear the same story over and over again. The people who designed their pages, also already installed everything on the server, and the site is there, waiting, on-line. Available for access from around the world… But - no one is coming! Promotion? What promotion? What are you talking about? Is that really necessary? Doesn't it cost extra money? No! They're definitely not going to waste any more of their hard-earned money on that stupid Internet!

Another story that is often repeated tells of "a good deal" - a "package", a "unique opportunity"... A service that includes taking a few (lousy) pictures, creating a (usually poor looking) Web page, and submitting it to 500 search engines. - Wow! All 500 of them! For only $150, all-included! That must be truly terrific! Expectations rise high: now the company cannot fail to become widely known all over the world! - And yet, for some mysterious reason, it does not generate any business Well, I am not surprised. No wonder it doesn't work. Such services and submissions are simply useless. You would get the same results throwing your money down the drain…

I've had a close look at many such pages. Regardless of the quality of their design, the way they are prepared is not genuinely aimed at any kind of Web promotion. They are not fitted with all the necessary components to ensure promotion. They have no proper meta tags, no such thing as well balanced keywords, the title is usually all wrong, frames are often used on the front page, etc. etc. All these items will be discussed in detail in the next section, dealing with Search Engine promotions. For the moment, I can only say - alas! - those pages just have no right to work well! So, if you want REAL business on-line, you need to create a REAL Website, and to REALLY promote it. There's no other way.
